The Road Rebels MC MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (ManCom) ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

President:
a. He is the Executive of the Club who overlooks & delegates responsibilities in connection with all matters related to the smooth functioning of the club.
b. He is final authority within the ManCom for the approval of raising of chapters in different provinces / regions under the rebels MC.
c. He shall also be responsible for nomination of appointments within the various chapters.
d. He shall be responsible to nominate Captain, Marshalls and Gunner prior to the commencement of every ride (for illustration refer to Annexure B).
e. He shall arbitrate on matters having varying opinions and finalizing roles of appointments within the ManCom.

Senior Advisor: He shall support the ManCom by providing all-encompassing advice / support related to the club matters.

Vice President:
a. He shall support the President in the aforementioned duties.
b. He will be responsible for arrangements / facilitation of meetings of the ManCom with different entities for development / registration and operation of Club activities.

Treasurer & General Secretary (TGS): The role of the Treasurer & General Secretary shall be to work as the central figure in carrying out all the activities of the group according to the decisions of the ManCom. A non-exhaustive list is as follows:
a. He assists in organizing and coordinating all the chapters under the Club.
b. He will be responsible for keeping all records and aspects related to finances of the Club.
c. He will be responsible for notifying members regarding upcoming events.
d. He will be responsible for maintaining the social media platforms of the Club.
e. He will be responsible to add or remove members to and from the club respectively basing on the Club Code of Conduct.
f. Maintains record of patches of honour prepared and updates list of recipients of the various patches as well as their safe custody.

g. He shall maintain record of rides done by different riders of the club for the purpose of award of patches of honour.
h. He is responsible for collecting funds, subscriptions and managing financials including bills, donations and the expenses of the Club.
i. He is responsible to the President for all auditory matters pertaining to club funds.

Seargent at Arms (SAA): He is responsible to maintain the discipline / decorum of the Club as per the laid down Club Code of Conduct.
a. He is responsible to take action on violation of Club Code of Conduct by any member alongside updating the President.
b. He notifies regarding any update in Club rules and regulations to the members.
He will be responsible for removal of members from the club basing on repeated violations or non-adherence to Club Code of Conduct after conforming with the President and Senior Advisor.

RULES and REGULATIONS


1. Safety as a Priority: Always wear a helmet and protective gear while riding. Follow traffic rules and regulations. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
2. Respect Fellow Riders: Treat your fellow riders with respect and dignity during rides and in discussion forums. Do not engage in any behavior that could harm or offend others.
3. Comradery & Companionship: Stick together as a group and follow riding rules. We do not leave anyone behind.
4. Use of Riding Signals: It is mandatory to learn the use of hand signals while riding (for illustration refer to Annexure C).
5. Thrill & Recreation: Enjoy the ride and the company of your fellow riders. Take breaks when needed and appreciate the scenery.
6. Ride Discipline: No one crosses the ride Captain (leader) and no one stays behind the Gunner (last man). Always follow the signals of the Road Marshals nominated for that ride who are meant to ensure your own safety through controlling the traffic and keeping the riders compact and together.
7. Respecting Privacy: Respect of the privacy of fellow riders shall be highly appreciated.
8. REBELS Media Engagement: Rebels’ social media platforms regularly post pictures on their WhatsApp forum and videos on their official you-tube channel, insta & Tiktok pages pertaining to rides held and the ManCom reserves the right to do so for all participants who take part in the respective rides. However, in order to avoid saturating the WhatsApp chat forum, pictures and/ or videos made pertaining to a particular ride carried out will only be shared in a separate temporary
group made for that ride. Such temporary groups will only give access to the riders who took part in the ride and shall be deleted 3 days after sharing of media, unless otherwise decided by the ManCom.
9. Inclusivity: The club welcomes riders of all skill levels. Make effort to let them feel as equals.
10. Road Sense: Do not engage with other road users in case of any untoward incident. It is best to leave the handling of the situation with the ride captain and marshals. Respect the environment and do not litter.
11. Use of Politeness: Communicate your thoughts and concerns politely and address any issues that arise in a respectful and constructive manner.
12. CAN-I (Constant and Never ending Improvement: ManCom would be open to new ideas to allow changes and modifications to the rules for improvement and facilitation of the Club members. We invite experienced riders or trainers to share their knowledge, experience and expertise within the group.
13. Supporting Awareness: We organize rides for social causes under the heading Ride-for-a-Cause. It is mandatory to attend atleast one cause / benefit ride in three months

DONTS


1. Political and religious discussions during rides and in the official WhatsApp group.
2. Sharing of news updates, links to media posts or any subject not directly related to biking topics in the official WhatsApp group.
3. Marketing of personal business or bike dealing within the official WhatsApp group.
4. Spamming the official WhatsApp group with unnecessary one to one chatting or sharing irrelevant viral messages or posts of any nature.

Criteria for Removal from the Group


1. Continuous violation of the points mentioned as Dont’s above.
2. Not riding with the group on any ride for consecutive 6 months.
3. Not participating in three consecutive Rides-for-a-Cause without a cogent reason.


RIDING FOR A CAUSE

1. REBELS organize quarterly rides for supporting various causes through engagement of volunteers from the society or to raise funds for a charitable cause. You are free to choose a cause that is close to your heart which makes a positive impact on society for creating awareness.
2. Share with the ManCom implementation in subsequent Rides-for-a-Cause (any knowledge and connections on how to go about in achieving that cause would be highly appreciated).
